Ellie & Jordan

--Blog written by Tara Clark of Double H Photo--

The wedding day began at Ellie’s sister's house where all the girls were wearing matching floral pajamas & enjoying mimosas! We happily met all the bridesmaids one by one enjoying the stories about how each one knew Ellie- it was clear they were a close group of girls. Music played in the background while their upbeat chatter and laughter continued as Ellie prepped for big day!

After some girl time was spent, we headed over to Luke's house- Jordan's best man. The gentlemen were enjoying their morning with ice cold Budlight and Sportscenter! The groomsmen all helped Jordan get dressed and place the finishing touches on his wedding attire. It was soon time for the limo ride to the church for formal photos and wedding greetings with guests! They slipped on their suit jackets and headed outside for a quick shot- to cheers Jordan- before heading to the church!

The formal photos were lots of fun as the guys joked around and teased one another with inside jokes and humor to keep Jordan's nerves down. We had a blast photographing this entire group all day as they all really enjoyed each other's company!

The limo headed to Ellie and her girls next! They passed Ellie’s childhood home on their way to the church-  a small piece of childhood nostalgia. Once they arrived, everyone took their places eagerly awaiting the ceremony! The music played Canon in D by Pachelbel as Ellie walked down the aisle with her dad. Ellie was radiating happiness as she walked toward Jordan. Once they were joined at the altar Fr. Francis Morin welcomed guests and began the ceremony. He shared different examples of successful marriage tactics. Ellie and Jordan then recited their vows declaring their dedication to one another. The couple shared their first kiss as husband and wife before being announced as Mr. and Mr. Stebbins and proceeding up the aisle! They were practically skipping with joy as they exited the church and headed to the park across the street for formal photos as the new Mr. & Mrs.!

After we captured formal photos down by the water, we all piled in for one more special stop before heading to the reception! We arrived to the main street of Hallowell where we would stop traffic and photograph the wedding party on the crosswalk! We were so excited about this idea and in fact- the photos we managed to snap flawlessly (holding up traffic) were some of our favorites from the day! :) It was such a fun idea. It was easier than we expected to capture too! It’s hard to predict what will happen when you bring a group of people into the most occupied street- to stop traffic- and photograph them! Ha!
We love it when couples come to us with fun ideas!
With the formal photos complete we headed to the reception!

Parents of the bride and groom, the wedding party and finally the newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Stebbins were announced into their wedding reception! The function hall was all brick, lit with white string lights throughout the entire venue. The dim lighting gave an intimate ambiance. This was perfect for Ellie, Jordan, and their guests! The parents and the wedding party lined up against the wall to watch the couple share their first dance. Ellie and Jordan wrapped their arms around one another and began to sway to the music. They were so focused on one another as they enjoyed a few minutes connecting and soaking up the fresh moments of being married.
After everyone had finished their dinner, Julie stood to give her matron of honor speech. She shared how she always looked up to Ellie & admired her strength. She provided a few words of wisdom on how sharing is key in marriage; sharing feelings, hopes and fears and respect. She ended her toast by welcoming Jordan to the family. Luke was up next! He joked by saying, “I never thought we’d see this day.” It earned a few chuckles from the crowd. He spoke about what a great brother Jordan was to his sister and how he was the cool uncle to his nieces! Luke closed by saying that he was proud to call Jordan one of his best friends and his brother.

With the formalities out of the way everyone hopped on the dance floor! We had a blast photographing all the fun and laughter the bridesmaids were having! There was a ton of dancing at the Stebbins wedding- so much fun was had and it was clear how much they all loved Jordan and Ellie!

Lastly, it was time for cake! Ellie & Jordan sliced into their bottom tier, plating the tiny pieces of cake ever so gently. With genuine-in love- smiles they finished their sweet bites.
Everyone -including the bride and groom hit the dance floor again! Ellie and Jordan were having a blast as they danced with their guests! The energy throughout the room was incredible! So many laughs, loads of hugs and handshakes & of course kissing between the two lovebirds! We sincerely enjoyed our time spent at the Stebbins Wedding- two of the nicest people we have ever had the honor in photographing.

Ellie and Jordan,

We wish you nothing but the best and always the purest of love & happiness. We encourage you to always cherish your wedding photos and each other.
With so much love,
