    As we pulled into Maine Lakeside Cabins, the sun was out and the temperature steadily rising. We pulled into the Pointe House where the bride and her girls were getting ready before the ceremony. This is where we began our hunt for Angie. We ran into a couple of her bridesmaids who directed us to the opposite side of the lake where the ceremony was taking place. Once we got there, we headed in through the lodge. The centerpieces and flowers to line the aisle greeted us. Their scent captured us from the minute the door opened, and we oh’d and ah’d over the smell and arrangements, done by Nicole Jennison, as we continued on our way to find the bride. We finally found her in the tent, housing the dance floor and tables for dinner. She was setting up the selfie station and placing decorations in their designated spots. Everything was coming together beautifully. The ceremony set up was right in front of the lake. Two barrels with framed burlap greetings were at the head of the aisle. These were made by Yves Levesque of U-Design Laser Tech LLC and looked fantastic. A birch arbor was at the opposite end with another barrel and a small watering can. The arbor was made by Aaron and his groomsman, Zach Hanson-how neat! The colors were navy blue, grey and cream with a country rustic theme. Instead of having a guest book U-Design Laser Tech LLC made a wooden tree and guests signed the leaves. Angie & Aaron plan to hang it in their house!

While getting ready all the girls sported black leggings and black tank tops with their titles on them: Bridesmaid, Matron of Honor, Mother of the Bride, Mother of the Groom and of course Angie’s said, Bride! There was music playing and the girls all sat around the room drinking mimosas and laughing. Meanwhile, in the Bigelow cabin down the road. The groom and his gentlemen were gathering their items and outfits. It was an octave higher than the girl cabin as they shouted various needs, “where’s my shirt?” or “I need a shirt!” “Do we have scissors?” There was lots of laughter as well a few varying opinions about how to tie the shoelaces of their matching grey Vans. It wasn't until someone announced a time check that they jumped into high gear and were suddenly all getting into their suits at once. Aaron made his way into the bathroom to double check his appearance, he asked those nearest to him about his hair,  “What do you guys think? I just of threw it together.” They all agreed it looked great, and Aaron put on the last touches of his suit. They convened outside near the fire pit as they waited for the go ahead to head down to the ceremony. They tossed out jokes and expressed concerns about the growing heat and their suits. Meanwhile, Angie and her bridesmaids headed to the lodge to get into their dresses. The bridesmaid's dresses were navy blue with sequins and design on the bodice. They were all wearing white lace Toms. Angie slipped into her dress and everyone took a minute to drink in her appearance. She looked absolutely stunning. Her dress fit as if it were made for her! The lace train and the open peek-a-boo in the back made for a dress to fall in love with- we sure did! Once they were all dressed and ready to go they watched guests arrive and be seated through the huge wall of windows. There was excited energy pulsing through the room as the clock neared 4pm.

    The ceremony was at the perfect time of day as the sun wasn’t high, the temperature had dropped into the more comfortable high 70’s range and the breeze coming off the lake set the tone for the Madore wedding. A close family friend serenaded the girls down the aisle to Train’s “Marry Me.” The ring bearers, lead by Brady and Bailey -The bride and groom’s adorable dogs -made their way to the arbor. Lastly, Angie escorted by her dad came down the aisle. Aaron’s eyes lit up as they connected with Angie’s. Once they were together in front of the arbor, Holly Towle  began the ceremony. She urged them to say, “I love you often.”

The couple opted to have a tree planting ceremony. Dirt from both of their childhood homes in Fort Kent, Maine were placed  together in a small potted tree. This represented each of them individually now coming together as one family. The tree will be planted on their land where they’re putting a house. The ceremony came to a close, with the reminder that “love is the essence of human experience.” The new Mr. and Mrs. Madore walked up the aisle to “I Love You Will Sound the Same” by Oh, Honey. The Bride and Groom as well as their bridal party headed for photos while the guests scurried to cocktail hour in the barn! Hannah immediately spotted a seaplane on the water nearby as a great backdrop for portraits of the newlyweds.

    Once all the photos were done, the bridal party and the new Mr. and Mrs. Madore were announced into the reception to Walk the Moon’s “Shut up and Dance.” They were welcomed with quite the noise as they danced into the tent. Following announcements, everyone broke for dinner and cake. The bride and groom offered, “Make your Own Poutine” as part of their dinner selection (“a Fort Kent thing” said one of the guests) and even squeaky cheese!  

After mingling and sharing a few drinks the newlyweds shared their first dance to “Head over Boots” by Jon Pardi. They had an energy about them as they danced and they only had eyes for each other. It was a slightly more upbeat song and they flowed well together with the music. It was captivating to watch as they were so enamoured with one another and seemed lost together in the moment. It wasn’t until we were leaving later that Angie had confessed they had forgotten to practice. We couldn’t even tell!

They moved into the Father-Daughter dance. Angie and her dad shared a few laughs during their dance to Tim McGraw’s “My Little Girl.” Aaron and his mom danced to “You Needed Me” by Anne Murray. Their dance produced a few tears from some of their guests. Aaron and Angie chose to include an anniversary dance. There were lots of couples on the dance floor at first then it slowly started to dwindle after a few years. It was great to see how many couples had been together for decades! The last couple standing were Edward and Veronica Kelly. They’ll have been married for 47 years on July 4th! Inspiring! They were also one of Angie’s bridesmaids -Jenny Kelly’s parents. After the anniversary dance, the dance floor opened up and the band -Sharon Hood and Dixon Road started their set. They were incredible and provided so much energy the dance floor was packed. The bride was the first person on the dance floor. She had plenty of people joining her. Even though the sun was setting, the party was just getting started!

What a perfect wedding this was! Between the tastefully done decor and gorgeous venue, the heartfelt ceremony & dancing, the breath-taking dress and the overall atmosphere this will always be a wedding we will cherish! We made our 3 hour car ride back reminiscing on how much fun we had & all the great shots we captured! We thank you for including us in your day!
